SALP Pathfinder

Phase 1 working with Fife, Argyll & Bute, the Borders and North Lanarkshire; and

Phase 2 with North and South Ayrshire Councils (and building links to East Ayrshire Council as well), Stirling, Inverclyde and Aberdeen

Objective: this project stimulated local voices in determining approaches to, and delivery of, a cultural entitlement package to inform Community Planning. This was done in 2 project phases, each involving a different group of local authorities.

For both Phases (1 and 2), during the first month of each local project Scotland's Learning Partnership (SLP) ran a 'Café Culture' where a group of adult learners were introduced to the current thinking and ambitions for cultural entitlements and cultural planning that can feed into Community Planning. Phase 2 involved a second group, bringing participants together with those in Phase 1 to share their learning. A combination of media was used to record and evaluate this process and the National Theatre of Scotland created a theatre piece from the views of older people gathering during this project.

Evaluation Plan

This Pathfinder's evaluation plan may be accessed here. It details the main elements of the project including the inputs, outputs, their projected outcomes of the project and the way that these would be measured. A further explanation of the Evaluation Plan is given in the Evaluation Toolkit which is being updated in light of the consultants' evaluation report. A link to the Toolkit will be added later: meanwhile, for anyone interested, information about the process used can be provided on request.
