SALP Pathfinder

Phase 1 working with Fife, Argyll & Bute, the Borders and North Lanarkshire; and

Phase 2 with North and South Ayrshire Councils (and building links to East Ayrshire Council as well), Stirling, Inverclyde and Aberdeen

Objective: this project will stimulate local voices in determining approaches to, and delivery of, a cultural entitlement package to inform Community Planning. This will be done in 2 project phases, each involving a different group of local authorities.

For both Phases (1 and 2), during the first month of each local project SALP will run a 'Café Culture' where a group of adult learners will be introduced to the current thinking and ambitions for cultural entitlements and cultural planning that can feed into Community Planning. Phase 2 will involve a second group, bringing participants together with those in Phase 1 to share their learning. A combination of media will be used to record and evaluate this process and the National Theatre of Scotland will be creating a theatre piece from the views of older people gathering during this project.
