Fill in details as shown on your IACS form.

1. Land ownership and control

Fill in this section if you choose any of options 6 to 17.

This will make sure that someone is responsible for meeting the requirements of the options for the full five years.

You must answer question 1. If appropriate, the rest of the section should be filled in by the person who will take over your responsibilities if you stop having control over the land.

2. Working out your allowance

You have a maximum yearly allowance (the most you can claim in that year) based on the total area of land used for agriculture, as declared in your 2006 IACS single application form (SAF).This is the total of boxes X and Y on your field data sheets and your estimated share of common grazings which should be calculated by multiplying the area of the common grazing by your share of the common as declared in section 6 of the SAF. We will check these areas and adjust your allowance where necessary. For 2006 you must deduct the amount for continuing 5 year commitments undertaken in 2005 before deciding which additional commitments you will undertake in 2006.

3. Application Details

Your choice of options 6-15 will be accepted as an agreement to carry out these commitments in full. Failure to meet all the requirements of these options will be treated as a breach.

4. Quality Assurance Membership Details

You must fill in the details of any Quality Assurance Scheme you are a member of and you wish to apply for.

5. Shared Boundary Features/Neighbours' agreement for management of linear features

If you have entered any shared boundary features under options 7 and 15 please complete the shared boundary agreement. If you need additional copies of the agreement contact your area office.

6. Management of Permanent pasture

If you choose the LMCMS options 8 and 13 (Management of moorland grazing and Summer Cattle Grazing), you must maintain the overall area of permanent pasture on your farm or croft.You must also keep an agreed number of animals on that pasture to make sure environmental damage is not caused by overgrazing or underuse.

You must fill in the table in section 6 of the menu scheme application form to work out the number of animals you must have grazing on the permanent pasture on your farm or croft in any year.

When working out the annual number of animals maintained on an area each year you should take account of the length of time the animals are kept on the area (for example, 10 cows maintained on an area for three months is equal to 10 x 3/12 = 2.5).
