Consultation is an essential and important aspect of Scottish Executive working methods. In general, Animal Health and Welfare consultations are aimed at key stakeholders (such as the National Farmers' Union of Scotland), but we aim to provide opportunities for all those who wish to express their opinions.

All consultations now appear online, for anyone to view and comment on if they wish. This section of the website lists the current and archived consultations that we have undertaken, along with links to any relevant data such as a review of responses.

Please note that consultations will not be kept in the archive indefinitely, and shall be removed once they are no longer relevant. If you cannot find a consultation, then try searching the main consultation section. More detail on the Scottish Executive's consultation processes can be found in the consultation information pages.
