Stakeholder meetings provide a mechanism for direct communication between the Scottish Government and stakeholders, particularly in disseminating current issues to their membership and providing a sounding board to inform policy development and implementation.
A well established Animal Health and Welfare stakeholder group meets regularly to discuss a range of issues but where a more focussed approach is required sub-groups may be established to deal with specific issues. A Bluetongue Stakeholders group has been formed to deal with issues surrounding the Bluetongue virus. The minutes from these meetings can be accessed at the links below.
