Declaration of Foot-and-Mouth Disease restricted zone

Partial Revocation (No. 1)

The Scottish Ministers by declaration dated 3 August 2007 ("the Declaration") created a restricted zone in accordance with article 37(1) of the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Scotland) Order 2006 ("the Order").

The Scottish Ministers now DECLARE that:

1. The Declaration is amended so that the areas described in Annex 1 are excluded from the restricted zone. The areas excluded are shown coloured (Shetland green, Orkney blue and Western Isles pink) on the map in Annex 2. The map is for the purposes of illustration only.

This Partial Revocation has effect from 00.01 hours on 12 August 2007.

NOTES

1. Failure to comply with the Declaration as amended may be an offence under section 72 or 73 of the Animal Health Act 1981.

2. A GIS (Geographic Information System) enabled map delineating the zones / areas is available for consultation during normal office hours at Pentland House.

ANNEX 1

DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE RESTRICTED ZONE

The area defined by the administrative boundary of the Shetland Islands Council, the Orkney Islands Council and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar.
