Brucellosis compensation

The Brucellosis compensation limit is calculated , in accordance with the Brucellosis and Tuberculosis Compensation (Scotland) Order 1978 (as amended).

The maximum compensation payable for an animal affected with Brucellosis or considered a reactor for the month of August 2008 is £1,362 You should contact your local animal health office in the first instance if an animal contracts Brucellosis on your farm.

Tuberculosis Compensation

The Tuberculosis compensation limit is calculated, in accordance with The Tuberculosis (Scotland) Order 2007 which came into force on 6th April 2007.

The compensation payable shall be the market value of the animal. Individual valuation of market value will be determined as per procedures described at Article 19 of The Tuberculosis (Scotland) Order 2007.
