What is required to access Rural Payments Online?
Rural Payments Online will operate with a variety of Internet enabled PCs. As a guide the following represents a minimum configuration for effective use of the system:
- Internet enabled computer with Pentium processor or better
- Windows 98 or later
- Internet Explorer 5.1 or later
Security settings require to have Cipher strength 128-bit encryption ( High Encryption Pack) installed. This can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/128bit/default.asp
The system has only been tested with Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers. Use of other browsers may cause problems. We are currently looking to adapt our system to be accessible by other browsers in the near future.
Producers intending to use software developed by a Farm Management Software provider will need to contact their provider to confirm what computer software and hardware is required.
