Meat Eating Quality Project
The Meat Eating Quality Project was a £500,000 project funded by The Scottish Government which investigated, in a commercial environment, factors in the food chain affecting the eating quality and consistency of meat in the Scottish red meat sector. The results of the study, which was completed in December 2004, endorse Scotland's reputation as a quality meat producer. They also offer valuable pointers to enable the industry to offer consumers a consistently good quality eating experience.
