"The recently established External Communications Panel,
made up of industry representatives, will continue to
advise on all material going to farmers, both written and
electronic. It has advised on an external communications
strategy - and will be monitoring its implementation."
Progress
The External Communications Panel (ECP) was established
in June 2000 and has met bi-annually since then. Panel
members, who are key players from industry, remain very
enthusiastic about involvement. The ECP sees and comments
on drafts of all scheme literature, application forms and
information letters produced by SEERAD. This involvement
has led to continuous short-term improvement in the clarity
of material and quality of application. In addition, the
panel can be used to sound out industry views on various
topics, for example encouraging the uptake of SEERAD Online
for submitting claim forms electronically.
The ECP has an ongoing function.
Action 26 complete although the work of the ECP
is ongoing.
