"The Executive is liaising with other UK Agriculture
Departments and the European Commission to explore the
introduction of a voluntary quota buy out scheme for those
producers who want to give up sheep quota in return for a
payment from the Government."
Progress
This Action is no longer applicable following the Common
Agricultural Policy (CAP) reform agreement in June
2003.
