Progress
The Enterprise Networks have accepted farmers and farming families as part of their mainstream client group. This will allow farmers to access Enterprise Network services as well as the new advisory element of FarmBASS (see Action 2), launched in June 2004.
In December 2004, SEERAD launched the FarmBASS Local Initiatives Fund (see Action 1) to support Local Enterprise Companies in setting up workshops to help farmers improve their business development, planning and benchmarking skills.
Further Work
Business support will continue to be offered to farmers from the Enterprise Networks.
