This is to ensure that the Fire Service Inspectorate can effectively scrutinise fire brigade operations so as to assess whether or not individual brigade performance is efficient.
Further to the paper 'Measuring Up' progressive consultation now enables further information to be provided on the next steps towards introducing a different Inspectorate approach.
