This bulletin presents statistics on crimes and offences recorded and cleared up by the eight Scottish police forces in 2011-12. Statistics on crimes and offences recorded by the police provide a measure of the volume of crime with which the police are faced.
Please note that in Table A2, the data for two categories within Other sexual offences have been amended since publication on 26 June 2012 due to an error. The figures for these categories in Table A3 were unaffected by this error.
