The visit to HMP and YOI Cornton Vale was made two and a half years after a full inspection and one year after a follow-up inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to follow-up areas of concern as well as good practice.

The Consultation Report and Consultation Analysis arising from the Scottish Government's public consultation on criminal legal aid contributions and financial eliibility.
A consultation on the original terms of a scheme proposed by SafeDeposits Scotland against the conditions set out in the Tenancy Deposit Schemes (Scotland) Regulations 2011 ran from 5 December 2011 until 22 January 2012. Prior to the end of that consultation period SafeDeposits Scotland revised their terms. A period of consultation on the new terms ran from 6 February to 18 March 2012. This publication contains the responses to that consultation agreed to be made public by respondees.
This report summarises stakeholders’ reactions to each of the consultation proposals and sets out the Government’s response.
