This guidance has been created to fully explain the impact of the BVD Order (Scotland) 2012 on farmers.

It has been sent to all cattle keepers and details the various testing methods they can choose from in order to comply.

The main group affected by the order is cattle keepers of breeding herds but non-breeding herds should also read it to ensure they are aware of how it affects them.

The mandatory screening phase which this guidance covers is part of the BVD eradication programme.
