7. SELLING INVASIVE ANIMALS AND PLANTS
7.1 This chapter explains the restrictions which apply to the sale of some types of invasive animals and plants.
7.2 Scottish Ministers have the power to prohibit the sale of invasive animals or plants 18. Any species that are listed by order by Scottish Ministers are prohibited from sale, having in the person's possession for sale, or advertising for sale. The term "sale" includes the bartering and exchange of goods.
7.3 Currently there are no species listed by Scottish Ministers under section 14A of the 1981 Act. This section will be updated should any species be prohibited from sale in the future.
