It is important to acknowledge that much of the drafting of this guidance, prior to submission to the Scottish Government, was down to officials from SEPA. These officials formed and lead a small but diverse steering group to help develop this guidance. The steering group was comprised of individuals from private, voluntary and public organisations and included; SEPA, SNH, Historic Scotland, Transport Scotland, WWF, Halcrow and Scottish Government. The time and effort that these individuals volunteered in the preparation of this guidance is much appreciate, especially those individuals from SEPA who had to draft the guidance and co-ordinate the material produced by the steering group.
