Project
The Scottish Government set up a project in conjunction with Mactaggart & Mickel Ltd. East Renfrewshire Council was selected as a partner, and agreed to be part of the team.
For the purpose of the project, Mactaggart & Mickel Ltd chose a site, called Polnoon, which had already received planning permission in 2006. This was 'banked' and volunteered for a re-design.
The sequence of diagrams (below) move from the consented layout plan for 92 houses to highlighting, in isolation, the standard road solution of a cul-de-sac design.
