The evaluation team would like to thank all those who took part in the research.
In particular, we would like to thank the staff involved in running the schemes in each of the three areas, and who provided the evaluation team with valuable data to inform the research. This includes Strathclyde Police, Lothian and Borders Police, and Grampian Police, and staff from Glasgow Addiction Services, Turning Point Scotland, SACRO and Aberdeen Criminal Justice Social Work. Assessor agencies were especially helpful in facilitating access to clients who had engaged with their services as part of the MDTA scheme, and their assistance in introducing us to their clients was key.
Finally, we would like to acknowledge the valuable contribution made to the evaluation by the small number of clients who took time to tell us about their experiences of the scheme and we offer our support to them in their continued road to recovery.
