18. OTHER EDUCATIONAL PROVISION

The remit of this study only included education provided within the school, further and higher education sectors in Scotland. It is recognised that deaf people also access, or may wish to access, other educational provision. For example, it is already known that many deaf people value learning opportunities within: adult and community education services, The Open University and the University of the Third Age. All of these provide vital routes to educational achievement. It is hoped that future study may address these areas.
