The amended regulations will be presented to Parliament on 3rdDecember 2008. It is intended that the amended regulations will come into force on 12 th February 2009.
The amendment regulations will therefore be in place in advance of the registration renewals due in March 2009. The IT provider RTEL has recently undertaken a comprehensive programme of improvements to the IT system to ensure that all the necessary IT changes are in place for this date.
Guidance will be issued to key stakeholders on all the amendments to be made to the landlord registration system prior to registration renewals.
