Notes:

Figures are provisional and may be revised in 2008-09.

Renfrewshire did not provide information on young people eligible for aftercare services. Renfrewshire's 2006-07 figures have been incorporated into this table.

Highland did not provide information for those not in education, training or employment. The total numbers young people not in education, training or employment in this local authority have been included in the "not known" column.

Glasgow's figures include 10 young people receiving an "aftercare" service who were not looked after by them, but for whom the service was deemed appropriate according to their needs. Some or all of them may have previously been looked after by other local authorities but it was not possible to identify which ones had.

West Lothian provided figures for six young people over the age of 21 who were also receiving aftercare services from them. These have not been included as these young people were above the age where they would be defined as "discretionally supported", and no information was collected on whether any 21 year olds were being supported in this way in other local authorities.
