Peripatetic staff, or any other staff who work for more than one centre, are counted once for each centre they work in. Staff responsible for the management of the registered service who are also paid childcare staff will be counted both in this table and in Table 12.
697 centres did not provide information on the number of management staff. The median number for all other centres has been applied to these centres, broken down by main service type (201 centres).
All figures are rounded to the nearest 10 to express the uncertainty inherent in these estimates. For this reason, totals may not exactly equal the sum of their parts.
