Early years framework scenarios

1 in 5 families in Scotland don't claim tax credits they're entitled to. That's £70M a year families in Scotland miss out on. Why do you think that is? What would change it?

Chris and Ann are a young couple who've just had twins. Ann earns more than Chris does so should she go back to work and Chris care for the children? Do you think he might face any difficulties in that situation?

Chris and Ann have twins. He works full time and she's been off work since they were born a year ago, but is offered a job - which she wants to take. What assistance would help them?

Vicky is a young single mother, with children aged 2 and 4. The younger child wakes up in the middle of the night distressed, with a fever and a rash has appeared on his chest. What help could she get? What services are there to assist her?

In September 2007, Scotland was named the 2nd fattest nation on earth. From August 2008, there will be new nutritional guidelines for Scottish schools. These will involve at least 2 portions of fruit and vegetables every lunchtime, oily fish served once every 3 weeks, and deep fried food limited to 3 items each week. How can people be helped to make the right decisions on eating well?
