4. DAIRY STUDY RESULTS
The following study results are the actual income received and costs associated with the dairy enterprise for those businesses that participated in the Dairy Enterprise Gross Margin Study for the year ending 31 March 2007.
The results cover 50 dairy enterprises.
Weighted average gross margins have been produced which are then followed by performance league tables. These tables rank the farms on the basis of gross margin on a pence per litre and on a £ per cow basis. Average performance has been calculated for the top third, bottom third and on the whole sample.
