Content of Submissions

The form of submissions is not prescribed. However, promoters are requested to outline the proposal in a short and focussed written document of around 20 pages, accompanied by a location plan, providing enough information to demonstrate the vision of the proposal in a clear and accessible format. It should include a summary which sets out the top 3-5 key attributes of the proposal which are considered to set it apart, what makes this different to a 'standard' development. Three printed copies should be supplied along with a version in an electronic format on a disc. Please do not email submissions.

The submission is not an outline planning application, there is no requirement for masterplans, EIAs or transport assessments at this stage. However, submissions should set out any key constraints which will need to be addressed in taking development forward. Successful proposals will be subject to the formal planning processes including assessment of environmental effects in accordance with legislative requirements in due course.

Where promoters are minded to submit a proposal for consideration under the Initiative this should be intimated in writing, with a site plan, by Wednesday 6 August 2008. The full documentation should be submitted by 17 September 2008.
