CHAPTER 10 - DIRECTORATE AND AGENCY ACTION PLANS
Background
10.1 The following pages set out action plans for the promotion of gender equality across Scottish Government directorates and agencies.
Structure of the action plans
10.2 Each action plans first describes the Directorate Responsibilities and how the promotion of gender equality will help to deliver the Government's national purpose and outcomes. They then discuss what is known about the experiences of and issues for women and men within the directorate or agency areas of responsibility. The plans then go on to list specific actions with expected outcomes, timescales and where the responsibility lies for delivering. Directorates and Agencies were also asked to consider whether any of the actions they identified contribute to delivering our 7 policy gender equality objectives; and/or if there are any specific actions they could take to progress them.
10. 3 The Scottish Government's gender equality objectives are divided into policy and corporate objectives:
Policy
1. Violence against women
2. Gender pay gap
3. Poverty
4. Occupational segregation
5. Childcare, caring and flexible working
6. Improve networks with men
7. Transgender equality
Corporate

9. Training of staff
10. Data gathering
