Implementation of remedial measures
35. An operator who causes environmental damage must without delay inform the appropriate competent authority giving details of the circumstances which caused the damage. The operator must then take all practical action to contain and prevent any further damage to the environment. The operator must also submit details of the action he intends to take to remediate the damage to the competent authority for approval
