8. Implementation of remedial measures
Chapter 8 covers issues concerning the implementation of remedial measures.
Carrying out remedial measures
8.1 The operator is responsible for carrying out remedial measures in accordance with the requirements of the authority. In many cases it is expected that the operator will engage contractors to implement the required measures.
Achievement of required results
8.2 The operator is responsible for monitoring progress and the achievement of results and reporting as specified by the authority.
8.3 If the required results are not met or if it appears that they are unlikely to be met, the authority may require additional or different measures. If it becomes clear to the operator that the required results are unlikely to be achieved, the operator should notify the authority along with any suggestions for additional or alternative measures.
