(1) The Aberdeen, Dumfries, Edinburgh Centre, Glasgow Centre, Glasgow Kerbside, Glasgow City Chambers, Grangemouth and Inverness sites are urban monitoring sites, and Eskadale and Strath Vaich are rural sites.
(2) Maximum running annual mean concentation of Benzene.
(3) Maximum annual eight hour running mean.
(4) Annual average concentrations of atmospheric lead.
(5) Annual mean concentration of atmospheric nitrogen dioxide.
(6) Annual mean ground level ozone concentration.
(7) Annual mean atmospheric PM 10 concentration.
(8) Data capture rates for lead and Nitrogen dioxide in 2003 for Glasgow were 46% and 42.6% respectively, well below the Defra and DA target of 90%. Therefore the reliability of these figures should be treated with caution.
(9) Data capture for PM 10 in 2004 and 2005 for Glasgow was 66% and 79% respectively, below the Defra and DA target of 90%. Therefore the reliability of this figure should be treated with caution.
(10) Data capture for Edinburgh in 2003 was low for all pollutants. This site ceased recording on the 13th of October 2003.
Therefore the reliability of these figures should be treated with caution.
