2.2 Management Structures Local, Scotland and UK

The "Management Structures Local, Scotland and UK" 5 Chapter of Preparing Scotland describes common elements of a generic management structure for the preparation and response to emergencies in Scotland. It is designed to advise every responding agency where their activity is placed in the overall management framework and how co-ordination of effort will be achieved. Whilst the response to any emergency requires to be tailored to its particular circumstances, this national generic management model, which includes integration with other UK level arrangements, will be deployed in the event of a CBRN incident in Scotland.

The national structure for managing the consequences and recovery aspects of a CBRN incident is as shown on Figure 2 below:
