Notes: The total number of young people included in this table does not match the totals in Tables 1.24 to 1.28 because 14 local authorities were unable to provide complete information and because some young people eligible for aftercare left care prior to April 2003.
Eilean Siar and North Lanarkshire did not provide this information. 2005-06 figures for these authorities have been incorporated into this table. In addition, Scottish Borders included only those young people receiving aftercare, rather than all young people that were eligible, and West Lothian did not include figures for 19-21 year olds in time for inclusion. The percentages of young people are therefore best understood as estimates.
