5. Additional considerations
A number of respondents commented that the revised circular should not be published until after the completion of the consultation on EIA of Reserved Matters Applications and the coming into force of the required amendment regulations. Therefore the revised circular can make reference to the changes in the regulations once they have taken place.
It is the Scottish Government's intention to publish the revised Circular in the period following the coming into force of amendment regulations on EIA of Reserved Matters Applications. This will allow the updated guidance to take into account these changes.
A further point made by the one respondent concerned the supplementary Q&A guidance which the Scottish Government has noted it intends to revise and re-issue alongside the final Circular;
"We welcome the Executive's intention to issue an updated letter to heads of planning containing Q & A guidance on the EIA Directive alongside the final Circular. We would also suggest however that this is issued to the consultation bodies for information"
The Scottish Government will therefore also issue the Q & A Guidance to the consultation bodies.
