FIRM FOUNDATIONS: THE FUTURE OF HOUSING IN SCOTLAND
A DISCUSSION DOCUMENT
On 31 October Nicola Sturgeon, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Health & Wellbeing, launched the Scottish Government's discussion paper on the future of housing in Scotland. Good quality, affordable housing is fundamental to our wellbeing and success as individuals and as families and communities. This consultation sets out our proposals to improve Scotland's housing with the aim of ensuring that our policies reflect changes in aspiration and demand for housing, and sustaining safe and strong communities across Scotland.
Please find enclosed a copy of the Government's discussion paper, together with a questionnaire about proposals in it, and a respondent information form. We are very interested in receiving your views and invite you to respond. The closing date for responses reaching us is 25 January 2008.
