Notes: Definitions for this table are those used by the Accounts Commission for the statutory performance indicator 6(c) on homelessness. In this case, the percentage represents the number of applications assessed as homeless or potentially homeless within 12 months of a previous application by the same household (also resulting in a homeless/potentially homeless assessment) being closed, relative to the number of applications assessed as homeless/potentially homeless during 2005-06.

Due to technical problems experienced by some local authorities in identifying associated applications by the same household, some local authority level figures may underestimate the scale of repeat assessments to some extent.
