Age, gender and educational attainment

7.9 The table below shows the age and gender profiles for the 2005 survey respondents, unweighted and weighted. The demographic groups that were the most difficult to reach or the least willing to take part in the survey were young people, particularly males aged 16-34. For this reason the 'upweight' on younger people and males is higher than it is for other groups.
