Justice Department Community Justice Services Division CIRCULAR NUMBER JD/9/2006 - AMENDMENT No 1 May 2007 To: ADSW Directors of Social Work Criminal Justice Social Work Managers | | St Andrew's House Regent Road Edinburgh EH1 3DG |
HOME DETENTION CURFEW
In March 2007 the HDC Implementation Group, comprising members from the Scottish Executive, Scottish Prison Service, ACPOS, ADSW and Serco, reconvened to review progress to date and consider any issues of concern.
The ADSW representative on the Group advised that social workers would find it useful to be told the outcome of HDC applications where a community assessment report had been requested. As such the CAR - proforma HDC 2(b) - has been updated to include a tear of slip which will provide the required information. This will be posted to the relevant social worker once the decision on HDC has been made.
The revised CAR has been issued to all establishments and usage of the tear off slips will commence on 1 June 2007.
