1. Consultation Arrangements

Delivering for Mental Health (2006) committed to translating the principles of Mind the Gaps and A Fuller Life into practical measures and advice on what action needs to be taken to move the joint agenda forward and support joined-up local delivery by the end of 2007.

This consultation invites comments and suggestions on the issues and recommendations made within this report.

We are inviting written responses to this consultation paper by 13 September 2007.

Please use the stakeholder response form provided or indicate clearly on your responses what section and which paragraph within that section that your comments refer to.

Early responses would be welcomed.

We need to know how you wish your response to be handled and, in particular if you are happy for your response to be made public. Respondents are requested to complete and return the attached Respondent Information Form (following page) alongside the stakeholder template.

This will ensure we treat your response appropriately. If you ask for your response not to be published we will regard it as confidential.

All respondent should be aware that this process is subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and the Scottish Government is bound to consider any request made under the Act for information relating to responses made to this consultation

Next Steps

Where respondents have given permission for their response to be made public these will be made available to the public in the Scottish Government Library by 11 October 2007 and on the Scottish Government on line Consultation pages. We will check all responses for any potentially defamatory material.

You can make arrangements to view responses by contacting the SG Library (early October) on 0141 244 4552. Responses can also be copied and sent to you but a charge may be made for this service.

Following the closing date all responses will be analysed and a report on this consultation issued later this year.
