05 Specialist Information and Advice

Summary

  • This Section will contain guidance and specialist information and advice on matters of interest to those maintaining plans for business continuity and emergency response.
  • The documents will link to the in-depth documentation, if it exists, for the fullest information of the reader.

The advice will be prepared in partnership with Scottish stakeholders with a particular interest in the subject matter.

This Section will include documents relating to the development of generic capabilities, specialist advice and information on matters related to civil protection and development of resilience.

The development of documents in this Section will influence, and be influenced by, the programme for development outlined in Section 6.

The documentation will include lessons identified during response to emergencies and exercises.

It is anticipated that the following matters will be developed initially to populate this Section:

  • Environmental advice and support - functional working
  • Welfare support (care of people) - functional working
  • Community planning and community involvement
