Notes:
- Please interpret changes with caution as they may be due to changes in data collection methods rather than actual changes in client numbers. See notes to tables for details.
- Scotland totals include estimates for Fife and Dundee City based on 2004-05 data
- The increase in clients in Argyll & Bute is partly due to an undercount of clients receiving homelessness services in previous years.
- In Edinburgh in 2004-05, data was provided for numbers of services rather than clients. Therefore the two years of data are not directly comparable.
- Figures for North Lanarkshire exclude around 9,000 community alarm users in 2005-06, and 11,000 in 2004-05 because of difficulties in determining the extent of overlap with other housing support services.
- Figures for Renfrewshire exclude community alarms and two other housing support services that were considered to be artificially inflating the client numbers, and so 2005-06 figures are not directly comparable with 2004-05.
- Figures for Renfrewshire are snapshot as at 31 March 2005 and 2006.
