| Description | In 2005, for the first time, the Scottish Executive funded a Scottish boost to the National Adult Learning Survey (NALS). The NALS series, which was established by the Department for Education and Employment in 1997, provides robust, nationally representative data on participation in and attitudes towards adult learning.
