HOW CAN THE SNS INTERNET SITE HELP ME?
1. Quick Profile

The Quick Profile gives a quick and simple introduction to the type of statistics included in Scottish Neighborhood Statistics by generating area profile reports. A selection of key indicators have been pre-defined for this profile report which allows comparisons to be made between a single data zone and some pre-defined higher level geographies which it falls into. Simply enter a postcode and press Go!

2. Standard Reporter
The Standard Reporter provides quick and easy access to a variety of key indicators and geographies.
Depending on the Report used, results may be automatically displayed in either a tabular or thematic map format. Some Reports also allow for output to be displayed in chart format. Results can be downloaded using the download button, to standard packages (such as Excel) for further analysis. There are five Standard Reports available:
Area Profile:

View summary statistics for your chosen area and make comparisons against Scotland.

Compare 2 Areas:

Change Over Time Across an Area:

3. Advanced Reporter
In three easy steps the Area Reporter allows multiple areas and statistics about these areas to be selected and analysed in either a tabular or geographic format.

Step 1: Select the area of interest
Select the geography of interest ( e.g. data zones) from the pull down list and then select the areas of interest on either the look-up table or map, or by cutting and pasting from an external source.

Step 2: Select the data of interest
Select the data of interest from a wide range of socio-economic indicators or reports. Indicators from a range of topic areas may be selected at the same time. Important information about the indicators and reports can be easily accessed.

Step 3: View the results
(in tabular or thematic map formats)
Results are automatically displayed in a tabular format for the individual areas selected; these can be summarised into statistics for the complete area selected.

Results can also be displayed in a thematic map which shows the boundaries of the areas selected and with background mapping down to street level.

Results can be downloaded to standard packages (such as Excel) for further analysis using the download facility.
