15. Court Services (Table 87)
15.1 A total of 1,589 stand down reports were provided to the Courts in 2005-06, 407 of which were written and 1,182 were oral. The total figure represents an increase of 24 per cent on the 1,283 provided in 2004-05.
15.2 14,579 post sentence interviews were carried out in 2005-06, a decrease of 11 per cent from 16,335 in 2004-05. A gender breakdown could not be provided for all local authorities. However where this was provided, 83 per cent of the post sentence interviews carried out were for males.
15.3 49,514 SERs were presented to the Courts in 2005-06, a decrease of 4 per cent from 51,414 in 2004-05. For those authorities where a gender breakdown was available, 84 per cent of the SERs presented to Courts were for males.
