About this DVD

This DVD provides information on how the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 can help people who are unable to make some or all decisions for themselves and sets out their rights under the Act. It describes the different ways in which someone else can gain legal authority or permission to make important decisions on behalf of an adult, such as someone with a learning disability or dementia. For example, decisions about support needs, where to live or work, or about health matters.
