ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

The Scottish Executive is committed to consulting widely with both professionals working in the field of public health and with the general public in order to ensure that changes to public health legislation reflect the needs of Scotland in the 21st century. In setting out the challenges we face and suggesting options for addressing them, this document aims to stimulate a constructive debate on issues that are important to us all.

The consultation document has been prepared by a Public Health Legislation Review Group. Its membership is listed in Annex A. The Executive gratefully acknowledges the Group's important contribution to this ongoing process and the personal commitment and expertise of individual members.
