1 Annex VIII of the Directive includes an indicative list of pollutants that could be considered in this category. Member States have each produced a list of the specific pollutants they regard as significant issues in their country and which therefore need to be considered as part of the ecological classification. The UK list includes substances like metals, solvents and some pesticides.
