1. Includes right to buy (old terms), right to buy (modernised terms from 2003 Q4 onwards), rent to mortgage (discontinued from January 2003) and voluntary sales.

2. Figures for Scottish Homes are not included from 2005 Q3.

3. Following housing stock transfers, figures for Dumfries & Galloway, Glasgow and Scottish Borders are included with the housing association figures from 2003 Q2. Housing association data are collected annually, and therefore total sales for individual quarters are not shown.

4. Includes sales to other individuals as well as block sales and transfers.

5. Includes sales of shared ownership dwellings.

6. Includes estimates for Inverclyde due to outstanding returns.
