Update on eSAY
eSAY is a project run by the Scottish Consortium for Learning Disability ( SCLD). eSAY is funded by the Scottish Executive. eSAY's purpose is to help to improve the access to information on services for those who have Learning Disabilities. eSAY is a searchable web-based database that is anonymous and confidential.
eSAY is part of the Efficient Government agenda. As well as working with partners throughout Scotland, we will be working closely with the new Data Sharing Partnerships.
We expect to support local authorities and Health Boards across Scotland in their delivery of key policy drivers. eSAY should enable:
- Better monitoring of the implementation of the Scottish Executive's Policy - The same as you?.
- Searches on a national database for services on learning disabilities.
- Improved planning for services and hence improvement to performance by benchmarking with other regions in Scotland and national average.
- Promote best practice.
Our dataset version 4.0 is available and can be downloaded on the SCLD web site.
Every public body that collects the eSAY dataset will be collecting all the data required to fulfil the Scottish Executive's The same as you? return.
