Integrated Learning Network Themed Event: Care Management e-Learning Workshop, 5 July 2006
The Integrated Learning Network ( ILN) held on 5 July was attended by 30 delegates across partnership areas. The purpose of the event was to provide an outline of the e-Learning programme and hands on use of the programme.
There was a brief overview of the progress on the e-Learning programme from Brian Duffy, formerly Renfrewshire Partnerships Training Officer. Brian is now the co ordinator for the National Practice Forum (details below).
There were practical workshops to provide the hands on experience and testing of the module. They were facilitated by Brian Duffy, Lillian Barrett, Clackmannanshire Partnership and Thomas Gourlay, Glasgow City Council, Social Work Services Training Section, who have all been involved in the development of the e-Learning programme.
The delegates at the ILN had an opportunity to feedback comments, receive further information on the technical requirements for the installation of the programme, and contribute to the testing and evaluation of the programme.
The partnership areas represented at the event have agreed to pilot the module within local areas and feedback on the experiences to brian.duffy@nhs.net .
It is planned to continue to refine the module from the piloting and produce the programme fit for purpose by the end August 2006. A further update on the e-Learning programme and developments will be provided at the Integrated Learning Network on 30 August 2006. Further details available from SSA Leads in partnership areas and Ruksana.Sarwar@scotland.gsi.gov.uk or Andrew.Slattery@scotland.gsi.gov.uk .
In the meantime, our thanks are extended to Brian, Lillian and Thomas along with the partnerships who have contributed to this very flexible approach to meeting practitioners' learning needs.
The e-Learning programme is integral to the National Training Framework for Care Management, which is Crown Copyright and requires a licence for use. If you require any further information you can contact MargaretAnne.Dale@scotland.gsi.gov.uk .
The Joint Future Unit website will continue to be updated with the summary reports from the Ministerial Launch and the six Regional events. We would welcome contributions from partnership areas to ensure the resource is kept up to date. Contributions should be forwarded to Ruksana.Sarwar@scotland.gsi.gov.uk .
